The Present
The Port Perry Agricultural Society (PPAS) has a long and colourful history. As farms make way for huge subdivisions nearby, agriculture is rapidly disappearing from the landscape. Yet, here in Scugog, farming is still the primary land user and will continue to be so for many generations into the future. This factor supports the optimism of the PPAS in their desire to present our agricultural heritage as a major part of the Agri-Park, home of the Port Perry Fairgrounds.

This park is a public space a the heart of our community . Whether it's a walk through the park, training for a marathon, a place to play with your dog, or fly a kite with your family, the Agri-Park is yours to enjoy.
The Past
The Port Perry Agricultural Society (PPAS) has a rich history that dates back to 1853. Although the group previously assumed alternate names, the organizations function and goals have remained the same. The PPAS and Port Perry Fair hosted the first ever Black and White Holstein Show in 1937.
